The fast Tour is a special part of Targa. At our 10th anniversary event we, working with some competitors from Calgary Alberta, created the Fast Tour event. It was an outstanding success as it allowed the owners of special or exotic cars to drive them the way they were meant to be driven without having the pressure of competition or having to specially prepare or modify them.

During the first ten years Targa had a number of requests from owners of special cars to allow them to run in the event. Always there was the hesitation over installing special, interior altering safety equipment.

In 2011 that changed as Targa, working with ZR Auto of Calgary Alberta, created the Fast Tour where owners of exotic or special vehicles could participate in the event under controlled conditions.

To create the Fast Tour we set out to achieve the following goals:
• Make the driving experience safe and yet challenging.
• Require minimum vehicle modifications.
• Remove the stress of competition.
• Provide a driving experience like no other.
• Create a shared, group experience.
• Control the speeds but yet have fun.

These goals were achieved by creating:
• A set of very fundamental car preparation rules.
• Controlling speeds using experienced guide cars
• Not scoring the event.
• Involving the participants themselves.

The result of this work was an event that was completely enjoyed by all, an event that allowed the Fast Tour crews to participate in Targa, and drive their cars the way they were meant to be driven. In short it was an exceptional success...... So come join the Fast Tour and drive your 'exotic the way you have always wanted to.
