  • Description:

    Steve Friebel:
When not flying an Airbus A320 for Air Canada, Steve indulges his passion for all things sporting and mechanical. Skiing, Snowboarding, Downhill Mountain Biking, moto cross have all had a part in his life. But for the last four years, Steve's energies have been directed at building and then racing a Factory Five Cobra replica. Inspired by his early childhood fascination with LEGO®, the factory five has been painstakingly modified and prepared with the aim of, hopefully, completing the Targa. When he is not driving or flying, Steve can usually be found planning the next upgrade to the Cobra or enjoying time with his wife Susanne and daughter Alison.

    Paul Pinchbeck:
A healthy childhood fascination with Hot Wheels cars has developed into a full blown adult obsession. He is currently planning to campaign a 1993 Miata in Solo1 and Solo 2 in Ontario and start work on a LOSCOST Lotus 7 inspired road car. When Paul is not thinking of things automotive or racing, he can be found hard at work as a marketing and sponsorship professional. Skiing, biking and outdoor life are things that Paul shares with his wife Lynn and daughter Hayley.

Testimonial

"The really interesting thing about Targa is that it has public and volunteer support like no event I've ever seen. I don't know that you could do this (Targa Newfoundland) in any other province! The folks in Newfoundland are generous and put up with the inconvenience of having their roads closed for several hours. Several thousand volunteers given their time, often their holidays, to allow us to do this… You rely on the volunteers to keep traffic out of the stage and keep people safe. We're very grateful to the folks that give their time (and roads to allow us to do this.) "
