  • Description:

Entering for the 4th time in this very special 1953 Healey serial number AHX12 which is the 12th of 20 pre-production prototypes built by the Donald Healey Motor Company prior to the commencement of production by Austin. This incredible vehicle is owned by motorsport enthusiast Blair Harber, who kindly lets his machine run Targa Newfoundland each year.

After a long and brutal competition life the car was found in California in a battered and derelict state before being completely rebuilt for Targa competition by the driver and owner.

Powered by a short stroke Austin Healey 100S engine "Twelve" has long and impressive list of modifications and competition victories.

More information on the car can be found at http://www.acmefluid.com.au/larry/ahx12.html and at http://www.netbug.net/blogmichael.

Running the oldest car in the Targa presents some daunting challenges but with the help of an incredible crew "Twelve" has finished every year and taken two 1st in class awards and one Spirit of Targa Award.
