(a) Christos Targa Award:

The Christos Targa is awarded to the overall winner of the Targa Division, regardless of the car class.

(b) Spirit of Targa Award:

This plate is presented by Newfoundland International Motorsports to the entry that, in the opinion of the rest of the competitors, best represents the Spirit of Targa Newfoundland. The "Spirit of Targa" is defined as the entry that has undergone the most trials and tribulations to get to or to remain in the competition.

(c) The Churchill Motorsports International Team Trophy

This award is presented by Mr. Jerry Churchill to the national team that accumulates the lowest aggregate of penalty points throughout all portions of the event. To qualify for this award, a team must nominate three entries in Classic, Modern, or Unlimited (all entries need not be in the same division) who are all from the same country and be registered with the organizers at the start of the event.

(d) Kenzie Cup for Team Marks Competition

This award is presented by Mr. Jim Kenzie, the creator of the idea for Targa Newfoundland, to the recognized marque (Ford, Porsche, Volvo etc.) team that scores the lowest three-car aggregate of penalty points throughout all portions of the event. To qualify for this award, a team must comprise of at least three vehicles of the same marque competing in Classic, Modern or Unlimited (all vehicles need not be in the same Division) and be registered with the organizers at the start of the event.

(e) The Baldhead Racing Novice Award

Trophies presented by Jim Morrow and Craig Seko to the driver and co-driver in the Classic, Modern or Unlimited Division with the least experience, the most spirit, and an excellent placing.

(f) The Australian Control Marshals Plate

Trophy presented by Kerith Buckingham and Carol Fitzgerald, the first Australian ladies entry in Targa Newfoundland 2002 (running as car #356) to the Control Marshals crew that in the opinion of the competitors operates the best and most efficient control marshals team during the event.

This plate is presented by Newfoundland International Motorsports in the memory of Richard Stryjski, a service crewman who participated in and loved Targa Newfoundland, to the service crew that, in the opinion of the competitors, has done the most to assist competitors (theirs or others) to remain in the competition.
